Hi I have just looked around lancaster uni and have seen the college system. I just wondered if anyone could recomend any colleges or tell me what the different colleges are known for/ who they would suit.

Hi - sorry you haven't had a response to this yet. I'm just going to bump the thread in the hope that someone sees this and can help

Why do I do this?

The Universities forums get a lot of questions that are unanswered. This is often because the OP's thread got missed - bumping threads gives them another lease of life and frequently results in someone seeing it and being able to respond

If you would like to help with unanswered questions check out the first part of the list here and don't forget the second part of the list here.

Or if you have questions, get in touch with Puddles the Monkey.

Hi abbie0202,
The colleges at Lancaster aren't too important so focus on which type of accommodation you'd like to narrow down your options. County is in the north campus, Bowland is in north and around the centre, Fylde and Furness are in South but very central, Grizedale and Pendle are at the bottom of south campus and some of Pendle, Lonsdale and Cartmel are in south west campus. Maybe have a look at a campus map (https://www.lancaster.ac.uk/media/la...campus-map.pdf ) and see how you feel about the location of the colleges. County is the biggest and Furness is the smallest.
Hope this helps a little,

You build a real sense of identity and connection to your college so have a good look online. I went to Bowland which was close to the English rooms but that might have changed now. I was there 98-01
