What is a level 3 applied diploma equivalent to ?

So I'm doing criminology as a level 3 applied diploma but my college counts that as one alevel so I'm also doing law and philosophy and an epq, getting bad grades because it's too much info and I can't do it all. Everyone in my class is struggling and I've been googling and asking other people that do level 3 and some have said it counts as 2 alevels and some said you can go to uni with just the level 3 diploma ? I'm a bit confused as I can't handle doing all of it and I'm not sure how many alevels it counts as . They told me to do epq to try get more UCAS points but it's just adding to the work load
I think there is a subsidiary diploma which is 1 a-level, and just a diploma which is 2 a-levels?

Thank you ! Its not subsidiary which I think is like btec? Not sure but it's applied diploma so probably 2 alevels then . Thanks ! X
