Is it a problem to apply as a homeschooler to German university?

I’ve read that it’s illegal to homeschool in Germany. I’m currently homeschooled and I’m going to take International CIE A Levels examination.

I’m taking the required subjects for the A Levels to be recognized in German university. I’ll also take German language proficiency test.

Also, the institution I’m homeschooled in doesn’t provide the A Levels examination and I’m registering myself as a private candidate in a different school.

I’m not even sure if it’s actually plausible to get admitted with A Level even if I’m not homeschooled, DAAD stated that it qualifies as equivalent to Abitur but some people say that it’s not possible.

Will it be even more of a problem that I’m homeschooled?
