Social Work 2020, Transferring credits from OU to Brick Uni

Hello Everyone!

I'm looking at applying for social work to start in Sept 2020!

I am a 25 year old whose studying my second 60 credit module at Open University, I've spoken to local Universities who have said they will accept the 120 credits in lieu of A Levels,

I'll be starting from Year 1 as I'm currently studying Psychology with the OU (I was planning on completing this degree then going onto a MSc in Social work but changing Unis would cut down the time I would be studying!)

I'm currently working on my functional skills level 2 in maths and looking for volunteering I could do 4 days a week in order to meet the required hours for volunteering by christmas time,

Has anyone got any advice for UCAS?

I'm currently looking at studying at either Cardiff Met or USW, so any tips for anyone who was been interviewed or studied social work at either of these would be a huge help!

does anyone have any books I should read prior to applying which can help me with my personal statement or my interview for the course?

anybody else a mature student starting uni? I'm so worried about being the old lady in the class :P

Any help would be greatly appriciated!

Thanks everyone!
Leanne
