I passed my test a few days ago and literally as soon as the instructor got in the car again she told me to get out my phone, search her school and give her 5*s and ''some nice comments'' on Google.

Weird or standard?

I think it's normal to ask for reviews, but perhaps not straight after passing your text. If it was me, I'd send a text later in the evening repeating my congratulations and saying that it'd be great if they could review if they felt they'd received a good service.

I thought your instructor asked you to take your trousers off and bend over on the bonnet. Now that would be weird.

It is clientelism without the politics, an exchange, she passed you so you support her. I know of horrible drivers who have passed because they stopped the car mid way and cried as 'they felt the instructor was mean to them', so yeah anything goes...

Well I expected the post to be a lot more different...

But anyways, does it really matter? You passed and won't see him/her again.

Make another review for 1 star to balance it out lol. Very unprofessional though to make you do that.

Dunno, I was asked much the same by a gas engineer, right after install, but he was pretty upfront and said he knew it was pushy, but they were going through 'restructuring' just now and anyone coming back with 4/5 was putting their job at risk.

People always do this at their jobs surprised you’ve not met one before
