Hi everyone,
I've just finished my GCSE's and now I feel like I've kinda hit a blank. I'm so indecisive about what I want to do. For example, I was set on the idea of college but on the taster days I hated most of the subjects I tried, and I hated the environment that college provided. I want to start working and learning straight away and to earn something for myself, so the idea of an apprenticeship really appealed to me. But the only ones I can find are for careers like electricians, beauticians and engineering. Although they're great, I really want to get into a job involving English, maybe something like publishing, writing or even teaching. I have such a lack of knowledge into how to get into these kind of jobs or what I even need to do to with life in order to get there. Google's not exactly giving me clear answers. Does anyone have any advice or ideas for me?

FE Education up till 19 is free. You might find it costs you a lot of money if you want to do level 3 at a later date.

If you want an apprenticeship then you can use these sites, plus Indeed plus doing some research on local employers who are in the business you are interested in.

I suggest having a look at books like these to help you decide on a career plus there are also some career profiles,
Careers- See if you can get any of these books at the careers library or they will have similar for you to read. Try and get ones aimed at your age group. If you cant find then just get second hand from Amazon.
