thanks for your post🙂

would you think the same way if the races were reversed?
To be honest it isn't classed as so called racist if it was the other way round it would be acceptable and no one would bother

No because the race card is used by pathetic people. It is neither fine or not fine. It won't change because of certain reasons

true, it's just odd that out of all the people involved in the production, not one picked up on it. Especially with similar previous scandals.

Which adds all the more validity to the idea that it was looked at in a different way. Now, of all the 'racist' accusations that get thrown around these days, this one is one of the more understandable ones. Though at the same time, in order to take it that way I really feel like it's something you have to be looking for. If anything, that's the sort of mindset that leads to these accidental issues, they try to include diverse characters and ultimately end up overlooking some minor thing that people will nitpick at and call racist. I wouldn't be at all surprised if that's what happened here.

Failing that, the best go-to is a role reversal. Would this have gotten the same outrage if she were black and became all ugly and, god forbid, WHITE? Chances are almost certainly no, it wouldn't. What about changing the roles? What if she was an Asian (leaning more towards Chinese or Japanese as opposed to say Indian) and then became black? Would it still be racist?

Well youtube looks a bit like TV... but it's not the same as TV and the 'childrens' channels aren't really suitable for children.
childrens youtube is a hellscape

The video was probably produced in a culture where it's not weird to equate whiteness and beauty. A lot of the world is actually full-on proper racist. not just the pretend racism we like to worry about in micro-aggression seminars and anti cultural appropriation demos.

Now youtube have got the dilemma of either being evil cultural imperialists and shutting it down because it conflicts with western standards or letting it run and programming western kids with unacceptable ideas.

I find it racist that we have to replace our entire populations of hundreds of European ethnic groups with people from AFrica, Middle East and Asia but don't see you agreeing wih that why? because it doesn't fit your victimhood narrative
what?

They knew exactly what they were doing creating that video. Really not surprised whatsoever, racism is still alive and well. And it is almost always targeted towards dark skin people.

I’m sorry but you’re blind if you don’t think it’s mainly towards those of dark complexion

I think that's because many don't regard the ones toward white people as racist.

How could you not have seen it? It's in the article you linked....do you read the material before you post it?
