Revision during Year 12 summer

I'm currently in my summer holiday of year 12, and was planning on going over the entirety of AS whilst I had more free time.
However now it is summer and I'm struggling to focus, and I feel like it is a waste of time.
I'm considering just waiting until the final week of the holidays to do more hardcore study instead.
Does anyone have any advice on this? How much work should I be doing over summer?
Just for context, I'm going to be predicted A*A*A and got AAA in my mocks. I need A*AA to get into my dream university.
Thanks!

I would do as much revision as you feel comfortable doing, but make sure you enjoy yourself as well. Plan your revision if you want so that you know what you’re going to do each day. It sounds like a lot of effort but it will be worth it as you will have more structure. Or you could think “I’m going to revise subject 1 on this day, subject 2 on that day and subject 3 on another day, then I’ll have a day off.” Do what works best for you. It will be good to revise a bit because you’ll be learning new stuff next year. If you leave it, you might not be in the mood to revise at all as you’ll have had so long not going over your notes and it’ll feel more difficult. At the same time, don’t overwork yourself!

From your grades, you sound like you’re doing great!!! If you do a bit of revision you’ll go the right way to get into the uni you want. Think about that if you don’t feel motivated enough to revise.

I’ve left college now, but over year 12 summer I wish I had planned my revision out better because I tired myself out a lot.

Good luck for next year! 😊

Definitely do some revision, it'll keep it fresh in your head otherwise you'll have to relearn everything rather than consolidating it which you don't want because you have a2 coming too. you will thank yourself
you don;t need to do too much, give yourself a break. however, i would also revise for any admissions tests if you are sitting any
Good luck for year 13- those are some amazing grades!

Hi! I'm about to start my year 12 summer and I'm trying to look for a plan to revise, did you end up going to your dream uni? How did you revise for the summer? I'm not doing that good for grades, around the C mark but I should be around As, I'd love to hear any tips you've got or could possibly recommend!😄

Hello, I'm a year 12 with the same predicted grades as you. Honestly, despite managing my time fairly well in year 12 I still feel a little burnt out so am giving myself the first half of the holidays just to relax and enjoy myself. Personally, I feel like in a way i worked so hard to get good grades and good predictions all year so that when summer came around I could afford to take a nice long break. From what I have heard year 13 is hell so for me i'm trying to ensure that i enter it not burnt out. Hope this helps!
