Hi,

This is a bit of a long shot but, as the title suggests, I'm trying to find out which universities were in clearing for English 2018 - 2019. On the UCAS website you can see which are in clearing for 2019 -2020 but I'd like to know which have been in clearing in the past so I can work out if it's likely that they'll be in clearing again next year (I'm applying for 2020 - 2021 entry). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

any university that does not have clearing next to it means they were not in clearing for that specific year.

Yeah....

The "Clearing" button on the CUG website is a paid for feature that universities can pay to put on. A university paying for it this year would have the button against all of their mentions across the whole site. If you click it it shows 2019 Clearing vacancies....and it isn't very accurate
eg
https://www.thecompleteuniversitygui...ne/southampton - these courses are NOT in clearing https://www.southampton.ac.uk/course...vacancies.page

If you want to see past clearing vacancies then your only option is to go to a library and ask for the archive newspaper copies of the Telegraph (and before that the Independent) for results day.

UCAS forbid archiving of clearing vacancy listings

It's okay - I was just looking for a rough indication really to reassure myself that if my A-Levels don't go to plan than there is still some hope. My library has a newspaper archive which I can access at home so I'll cross reference the CUG with that for accuracy.
