The body of a 26-year-old man has been recovered from the Thames - the third person to die in the river in a week.

As sad as it is, what kind of rube goes swimming in the Thames in London? Its incredibly dangerous down there. Nevermind the fact there are plenty of basins like in shadwell to go to instead if youre so inclined.

Scottish Lochs and beaches can be nice to swim in; albeit cold, but why anyone would want to swim in the Thames, full of muck as it is, is beyond me

It can be, naturally I had a wetsuit on

Some scottish beaches, especially on skye and in the hebrides, are positively gorgeous; no pollution, clear blue sea, white sand. Beautiful
