I have three now and I am just wondering How many accounts are you allowed to have on Student Room before they block you off and delete all your accounts and tell you can’t be on it anymore.

If you've previously been banned, then you aren't allowed another account.

Otherwise you're allowed as many as you want, as long as you don't use it to troll. Though people do it anyway, meh.

You can have as many accounts as you believe is necessary for your requirements, so long as they are not used for disruption/circumvention of restrictions etc, or anything else that breaks the community guidelines. There is no set number.

I have two accounts, including this one (I don't use my other one much at all). For most people, two or three is the most they'd ever need.

Note, as mentioned by UWS, if you cause disruption with duplicate accounts then you'll have your dupes banned (and likely not be allowed to create any more). If you get banned with any account then you cannot use dupes as that is circumvention and not allowed as per the TSR Guidelines.

I've got lots although a few have been banned :ninja:

It's only a problem if you keep being banned and then make a new account.

It is one of the reasons why TSR has so many trolls.

Out of the three I have,

One, I used to use a lot but now I have stopped using it because I cannot get onto it.

One, I haven’t really used ever

and the one I am using now which is my newest one and I have been using it a lot today since I had it.

Try telling that to two of my trolls. They still haunt my pm in tray, whatever.

I guess you could have one for being a knob and another one for cerebral posts about uni admissions and ethnography.

TSR staff and all forums in general are poor at detecting multi user accounts.

I've seen people get banned on their real account, then come back and start posting on their alt account and the only reason they get caught is because they make it obvious it's them.

also if you are close to getting a ban on your main you can just use or make an extra account and carry on posting the same way as before and use that account as cannon fodder to suck up the cards and warnings till your main account recovers.
