Who is thinking of declining their place/self-releasing into Clearing?

This year for the first time you can release yourself into Clearing if you've changed your mind about your unconditional firm offer :beard:

We have a guide explaining how it works here:

In the past you had to call the university and ask them directly, but this year there will be a button on UCAS that lets you release yourself into Clearing directly.

Anyone thinking about changing their mind or doing this? :holmes:
The university I made my firm choice cancelled my course so I swapped to a different similar one but now I’m thinking I want to go to a different university so I can do my original course choice. My firm is BBC and the one I want to change to AAB so if I get the higher grades I need to swap, would I be able to check if the other university will take me before declining my firm choice?

Hey, if you meet AND exceed your firm offer on results day you'll be eligible to apply through adjustment - this means you can apply to the new university without losing your firm choice :h: There's loads of information on adjustment in this guide: https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=6018120 - if you scroll down you'll find it. I would read that first as a starting point and then if you have any questions let me know :woo:
