Civil service reserve list???

I’ve been on the reserve list for over a month now for an EO role in the HO. There is 10 of us on the reserve list I was told. I am just wondering for
Peoples experience as to how long from being on reserve list to getting the job offer, and how long from the offer to actually starting?

I’m so excited about this and really hope I actually get the job :frown:

A few of my friends work in the civil service, some were on the reserve list for around 3 months, another one of my friends was on it and did not end up starting the role for well over a year since securing the job (home office position).

I'm currently going through the process of trying to join the civil service too, it really depends on location and department.

I think this is all fairly common of the civil service... patience is key.
