Here are the candidates:
1. 1983/84: 2 European trophies went to English clubs: Liverpool won European cup and Spurs won UEFA cup
2. 2005/06: Arsenal and Boro both lost an European final
3. 2006/07: 3 English clubs in CL semis
4. 2007/08: All English CL Final, the other 2 English clubs in the CL are knocked out by another English club
5. 2008/09: 3 English clubs in CL semis
6. 2018/19: A full house for England in European finals

Depends what you qualify as success but winning both cups and having all the semi finalists are pretty good. Is there any year in which that has happened before?

Have chosen the last season: Two English football clubs both in Europa League and Champions League final, that is hard to best! 2019 was an English year without a doubt. As second best I consider 2007/2008: three clubs in semi-final in CL, and two in the final!
