Due to people looking up my previous history that is actually incorrect, the content of this post has been eradicated.

There are no secrets. Some people can just do it. Others can't. Others are inbetween, and have to work hard and revise hard to be able to do it.

Do the work. I guess it helps if you're good at subjects across the board and don't find them that difficult as well.

I think you have to have natural intelligence and actually care about your grades. I didn't care quite enough, I don't think.

Write bank account details on my exam paper. Works every time.

Revision and time-management also comes into this. I'm guessing.

Teavhers are important, i had to learn the syllabus of most of my subjects before i started revising.
Actually i don't think i revised for AQA science, i just learnt the syllabus the day before.

+1

I paid attention in most classes and made sure I understood things as we did them. Made revision a hell of a lot easier / less time consuming.

And how do you do it?
I guess it requires hard work and determination. I think it's unfair to say that some people can naturally do it. A-grade students work hard to get their grades and people ought to acknowledge that.

Other factors include teachers, your enjoyment of the subject, how fast you pick things up.

I think that anyone is capable of A and A* grades if you try hard enough.

OK then...
Ok well, on a serious note- GCSE is all about how well you can memorise set stuff-there won't be much deviation. If you look at past papers, you can spot 'typical' questions that come up often. all you have to do cater your revision towards the exam itself, as opposed to the subject. This is poor advice for becoming good at the subject, but it is unfortunately the truth about GCSEs and how to 'play the game'.
