Edexcel are ****heads.. they do not actually have ANY past papers on their website!! You have to buy them

Theres one past paper, but thats crap, the mark scheme is good anyway. I posted link on here yesterday.

It's such a hard paper to revise for. I'm sorta in the same situation as my 'Writing for different audiences and purposes' paper where you just don't know what to revise and what will come up! so your revision is limited in a way. I just hope the paper is a nice one!!

It's just such a weird thing to revise for!

Yeah me! I keep sitting down to do it and then wandering off.... very irritating as I could do with the practice really. Oh well, if I don't do much today I'm sure I'll get a dose of reality tomorrow morning when I realise I only have a few hours until the exam!

With this as a guideline..

-Genre
-Purpose
-Audience
-Register/Tone
-Historical/Social Context
-Literary/Linguistic Features
-Field Specific
-Attitudes and Values

..I was thinking of writing a paragraph on each one for each text. However, I'm worried about how I would include linguistic features..say in the Purpose paragraph you would possibly struggle..HELP!!

i'm not going to structure it like that, im just going to analyse each text, with apporopiate terminology and refer to attitudes and values. You don't need a paragraph for each of the above, you can get G/A/P into one paragraph.

Thats how I structure mine:
Text = Purpose (AO2ii, AO5), Audience (AO2ii, AO5), Topic (AO1), Form (AO1), Style (AO1, AO2ii, AO3ii, AO5) and Context (AO1, AO2ii).

You cover everything doing it this way, remember the mnemonic:

This Purple Aubergine Tastes Foul Said Colin.
