I have no clue how to take my GCSEs as a private candidate Im studying AQA and fairly new to homeschooling as i left public school late-year 10.I want to take my GCSEs May-June 2020Any help????
Have a look here:

If you are still of statutory school age, your parents are responsible for ensuring that you are provided with a full-time education. Now that this is not taking place in a school setting, are they employing tutors / online tuition, facilitating your education personally, or just leaving you to get on with following the syllabus yourself?

Hey! I hope I'm not too late!
I am in pretty much the same situation as you. I left school about two months ago, and I am now homeschooling. I am new to it too. I am also going to take my GCSEs May-June next year.

I am doing AQA for all my subjects except maths which I am doing Edexcel for.

I have been doing some research recently about entering as a private candidate. There is a list of schools that except private candidates on AQA's website, maybe this will help: https://www.aqa.org.uk/student-and-parent-support/private-candidates/finding-a-school-or-college

You need to find a school in your area, then I would email them asking if they are willing to except you. If they are, there is a list of things on AQA's website in which you need to send to them in order for them to be able to enter you. Bare in mind, the applications for students sitting their GCSEs are sent out in April 2020 (I think) so you need to get emailing pretty soon. The list is here: https://www.aqa.org.uk/student-and-parent-support/private-candidates/exam-entries-and-fees

Finally, make sure to ask the school that has excepted you what to do about your coursework/fieldwork/any other controlled assessments that may need to be signed for or checked. For me, this is my English speaking exam, and geography fieldwork. I think you need a written statement that you have completed them, so for me, once I have found a school to accept me as a private candidate, I will ask them what they need as proof, and if it is a signature they require, I will ask my old geography/english teachers. I'm not sure about coursework subjects or BTECs, however.

I hope this has helped, and good luck, fellow homeschooler
