What is it like retaking year 12 at a different sixth form?

I have been facing a lot of difficulties at school (I just finished year 12) and one of my options is to retake the year I just took, but at a different sixth form. I have anxiety and find it hard to socialise, especially in new environments. I was wondering if it is a good idea considering I will be older than most of my classmates if I retake the year. Will I stand out to much?
