I've never cheated on a real exam but everyone cheats all the time in useless class test! but during the literature exams loads of people folded the pages in their books so they could access quotes easier. one English teacher said it was okay and then everyone did it..is it cheating?

What? Having something to guide you is fine, but having notes of any sort in the exam is cheating. If I have understood this properly, that is definitely cheating.

Never.

I'd hate to get 0 for a subject and they also have to power to stop you from taking the rest of you exams too...If they think you are not taking it seriously.

I thought they made people take off their calculator cases and leave outside?

No way, never have cheated. You'd never cheat in an IB exam anyway: caught once, fail the whole diploma.

Hahaha, i remember a boy who got caught cheating for a music exam. This was Year 8 by the way and it was a class exam, no public exam.

He had written in pencil on the table all this music stuff and covered it using his pencilcase (he had one those 30cm long cases) Anyway he got caught and was told to tell his mum...he didnt of course.

We used to get made to put them on the floor, but recently they haven't been bothered.

My friend had a French exam last week and there was only two of them in a class room so the invigilator said "I trust you two girls, I'm just going to the loo."
He didn't come back for half an hour and when he did he had a cup of coffee and a packet of biscuits.

They were too afraid of looking at notes or chatting in case he came back any minute.

I've not cheated, I'd feel too guilty

On this topic... (btw I wouldn't cheat / do this) but in exams right... people are told they have to wipe their calculators clean. Well firstly invidulators never check at my school to make sure you have but say they saw you using some saved stuff in a calculator:
how would they know that you hadn't just written the formulas / figures on it in the actual exam? They would have no proof that you didn't just write them formulas into your calc during the exam.

personally i don't need to remember any formulas but still... I bet people could do it and get away with it

My extent of cheating is drawing a large penis on my calculator and trying to catch the attention of somebody sitting near me.
Agagaga. Nice one.

Hmm.. I suppose you could write notes on a piece of paper in your pocket and check it when you go to the toilet but I've never done it - I'd be too terrified the invigilator who escorts you was standing outside listening for rustling paper...

For coursework that you have to write in "exam conditions", a lot of people wrote an essay in the back pages of their dictionary and then copied it up onto the exam paper... Again, not me, I'd feel too guilty!
