Dear All,

Am about to embark on a music degree at a conservatoire. Exciting!

The only problem is they have no societies or clubs! Am really interested in History of Art and Philosophy so would love it if all you humanity students out there could give me some recommendations for reading or advice for continuation of learning!

Would love your advice,

Musicmaestro

Hi MusicmaestroBAR

A book that I would definitely recommend is Neiztche's 'The Birth of Tragedy'. As a musician, I think you would enjoy it greatly.
As a former philosophy student, I found that a really good short read was Sartre's 'existentialism is a humanism.' It was a great introduction to the wider field of existentialism and a personal favourite of mine.

I hope this helps.
