Working in France for more than 3 months - carte de séjour ? Watch

I'm a British student who's just started an unpaid work placement with Erasmus funding in France as part of my year abroad. I'm working here for 4 months (ie after the Brexit deadline) - does this mean I need a carte de séjour? How do I go about getting one?
