Hey,
So I’ve got both the CGP text book and also the Pearson one but the Pearson seems to go into waaayy more depth in comparison. Is this waffle? Would using cgp hinder getting an A* because of the lack of detail? Or is it just minus the other stuff you don’t need and more tailored to the spec
Also in the Pearson book amyloplasts are labelled on the plant cell diagram but they’re not mentioned in the CGP???

**theres also no mention of proctists in the cgp, it’s little details like this which make me feel like maybe it might disadvantage me but can anyone who’s doing/done a level biology confirm this maybe please?

Stick to the OCR A book.In biology wording is really specific and different exam boards want different wording and the content varies slightly,so don't bother with the Pearson book.

Honestly, it's unlikely you'll be asked much about cell structure at A-Level. If asked, it would be a really small question.

Also, Protocists/Protoctista are explored more in module 4 for OCR under classification and evolution.
