I wish my parents had been more adventurous with my first name, as my last one is quite unusual - they probably didn't want me to be the butt of jokes though, although I reckon I could've handled it!

I always say I could've been in the Guiness Book of Records for the longest repeating name ever (seeing as they could've given me infinite middle names that were the same as my (potential) first and surname)!

Mine's Rose, I like it but hate it when people who don't know me call me Rosie. Most of the supervisors at my work call me that, even though I wear a BADGE with my name on it. When I was little and in Brownies and stuff, all the adults would do it too. WHY?

Friends and family are allowed to call me Rosy... but always spelt like that!
That's really funny, because my name is Rosie (well, Rosemary, but we won't go there) and it really annoys me when people shorten it to Rose! Only my mum is allowed to do that! :p:

As for my surname, well, it's very unusual. And no one can ever pronounce it, let alone spell it! I don't mind the spelling thing, but it is actually said how it looks, yet people always add in extra syllables  Never understood why..

I could do with a different surname, too many people think they're funny when they call me Bart (Simpson). I don't mind Andrew too much though.

Hmm. I don't like my full name which is Joanna as it sounds like a pornstars name imo. lol so I introduce myself as Jo and will forever! lol Joanna = SUCKS! No offence if anyone likes that name lol. I HATE it when people call me Joanne.

Second name is ok.. I suppose.

I can think of far better things to be called, but also far worse- I almost had Winifred! However, most people with my name are about three years of age... it has seen a surge of populatiry recently.

Funny story about names. A friend of a friend recently told me of an estranged auntie who after many attempts at IVF decided to travel to china and adopt a little girl. Apparently she is the most beautiful little 3-year old you can imagine, and her name is Jim!
