is biochemistry a good degree

A nice degree in terms that it essentially merges two key 'hard' sciences into one subject. Would be fantastic to pursue a career in either chemistry or biology, or both. Therefore it is a good degree to have if you don't know what sort of scientist you want to be. The subject of biochemistry is much more broader than lets say 'specific' chemistry or biology subjects, such as immunology (biology), forensics (chemistry) or ecology (biology). Overall it's a degree which will get you into scientific research with a decent salary too.
