Not knowing what course to do in uni

Hi !
I am a student going to year 13 and unsure about what courses to choose for university (Canada & US) .I am currently doing physics, chemistry, math and geography mainly since they are facilitating subjects.Does anyone have any recommendations or know what websites I can use.
I would suggest looking at different unis and what courses you are interested in and make a list or spreadsheet. Then go to their open days and ask more questions about the different course which could help dumb it down to which ones you prefer.

You could also think about how many hours you want to spend in lectures, think about if you want to go to a uni with a campus or in a city, etc... and try and find one that fits your criteria

if you are really struggling I would suggest talking to your teachers and ask what careers you can go into with your a levels, or talk to your parents and ask if they know anyone that does a certain course that interests you.

good luck x
Choosing what to do at uni is smth that I feel is really personal. It's not only based on what A-levels you're taking, what grades you get/are predicted, what subjects you enjoy, but also about you and your personality.

I had a really hard time narrowing what I wanted to do at uni too lol. I had a list of around 13 different subjects, and an even longer list of every course I was interested in at different unis. Perhaps taking some career quizzes will help? Here are links to a few good ones I used:

https://www.123test.com/career-test/

Taking something like the MBTI test might also help if you haven't done it already. I know it's in no way an accurate form of typology but it could also help you with career suggestions: https://www.16personalities.com/free-personality-test

The only way you can really narrow down what you want to do is by looking through courses online. Go to the site of a uni you're interested in and look through their A-Z of courses available. Click on any course that sounds interesting to you and read the entry requirements and information on fees if need be first (no point in reading more about the course if you don't have the right subject requirements or can't finance it lol). If everything checks out, read through the overview. If it still seems interesting, read the breakdown of the modules taught across the 3/4 years. If they pique your interest, read more about how you're assessed - are you better in exams or at coursework? What about the statistics? How many were satisfied with the course? How many in full time employment or education following graduating? If you're still interested at the end, add it to a shortlist.
It's a long and tedious process, but I don't think there's any easy way of going about this lol.

If there are any subjects on the list you're very interested in, but is a subject that you don't cover at A-level (e.g. International Development, Law, Sport Rehabilitation, Agricultural Sciences, etc), then see if there's a beginners or introductory course you can have a look at online or any videos you can look at on Youtube to get a 'feel' for the course if you will. I used this site: https://www.futurelearn.com/courses and managed to remove Law from my list, never 'noped' out of smth so fast lol.

Good luck! Keep us updated on how everything goes and what you settle with in the end!

If you're interested, I picked to do History in the end, even though it wasn't my first choice lol. I was intending to do Philosophy, Politics, and History but basically I couldn't go to that uni in the end T-T. Still don't know if I made the right decision considering I also got a really good offer to do Chemistry at a good uni, and was considering applying for International Development but I know I love History and the uni and I think that's reason enough to pursue it in the end:h:

I will have a look at the links and i have tried looking at courses online. The thing is my subjects pretty much allow me to do everything besides law and medicine which tends to confuse me more and i am currently having a hard time figuring out what my interests are before even looking at careers.I will have a look at all the links tho and thank you so much !!!!
