If you got a high B or an A at AS, i'd carry on.

It's a huge volume of work and the questions require alot of deep thinking and synoptic thought but it's manageable if you're good at AS. There is a HUGE gap. be prepared.

I've been doing better in A2 than I did in AS - I came out with D's last year but I did have a few (million) personal problems going on. Now I think it's really messed up my chances but hey, I keep working at it

(I thought the coursework was pretty easy! I got near full marks on both )

It's hard, but if you found AS ok, you should be ok because I didn't really notice much difference. Then again, I haven't got my grade back yet lol!!
See what you get in August and what you need for Uni and if you think you can get that grade then do it

Yeh it is pretty easy. I got something like 90% in the A2 modules.

Edit: No, I don't go to some private school - a local state comp. I made my own notes from text books and just revised from them.

I considered doing it for AS as it looked interesting but I only got CC at GCSE so I thought I wouldn't do well in it.

the thing is you will find A-level bio pretty hard, like i do

For unit 3, i knew that i failed Unit 3 and W1.
Result day comes and i end up getting 96/100
The scaling of marks is so stupid, so somthing like that 55% was an A. its stupid.

I thought it was very tricky to score properly in exams. I knew the content, just couldn't master the exam technique in a way the examiners wanted. I found Biology>F.Maths>Chemistry>Maths (AS physics somewhere in the middle, I'm crap at physics). Thats for me anyway.

I find with Biology (AS) the content of the course is all relatively simple to grasp and understand. However, there is a lot of information to learn...but what's worse is that even learning all the content off-by-heart isn't enough as there's a lot of examine technique involved (this was my downfall). The actual exams are a lot tougher than the subject content.

personally i found the A2 course fairly easy, there is a lot of detail but once youve got your head around it its easy. i think its more learning than understanding, theres not a lot to comprehend just learning the facts!
