Everything.

They were designed at a time when ICE systems didn't contain Bluetooth technology. They're intrusive, require charging, and require removing a hand from the wheel to fiddle about pressing a button.

Most cars built in the last 5-10 years will have an ICE system with Bluetooth phone capability - it doesn't require charging, there's generally always steering wheel controls to accept a call, and it comes through the existing speaker system where it will temporarily turn off any audio.

The Bluetooth earpiece is an old technology that is quickly being phased out.

Ever seen a movie or TV show with a douchebag wearing a Bluetooth earpiece seemingly talking crap into thin air? Yeah.. that's how everyone looks with one of them.
