The "typical bloke" probably didn't go to University. If he did then not to a prestigious one.

a typicak bloke is someone who HATES football with a passion, hates cars, loves going shopping (especially for a new pair of shoes!!), straightens his hair, likes a good gossip session, hates F1, hates beer but loves spirit mixes and most of all enjoys watching a good chick flick!

perhaps it's because i've grown up in so many different places....but i don't really think there is much of a "typical bloke," in anyone's eyes. i think you can call boys typical before the age of 12 or so, when they seem to be obsessed with video games and outdoorsy pursuits like sport, camping, dirt, frogs....but once guys hit a certain age they become comfortable with themselves and their interests change, so you can very easily get an art major who likes basketball....or a video-gamer who isn't a computer science major :p:

It was merely a point of comparison to your Dave. Our Daves are rather different :p:

"typical bloke" is an expression of frustration/irritation. In this sense a typical bloke is an unthinking, selfish ****.

Obviously everyone knows that all blokes are different, it's just an expression that's caught on.

A lad's lad, makes sexist jokes and downs pints like they were nowt. But a decent guy with a strong sense of honour and looks after his family, putting them above himself.
