Lakeside cos you're on campus and I've heard that the people at The Heights are quite disorganised.

i saw standard and lakeside but apparently standard is better because it's full of 1st years, plus it's more of a friendly feel whereas in lakeside it is more secluded and private.

Standard isn't that horrible but I preferred it here. The thing about Lakeside being more secluded and anti social is poo- they spread that rumour every year. We always had people in our flat from other towers and had lots of social things going on. It depends on who you're with though, some people can be a bit up their own butt.

The Heights is Unite owned accomodation, ie, private flat accomodation. It is similar in quality to Lakeside Uni halls, but is more slightly expensive? (can't remember - its similar either way...). Its very close to uni and has a sizeable international contingent.

I think next year The Heights are about £99 and Lakeside is £101. (Possibly £106?)

you can still have fun in lakeside, you're not doomed to have no social life if you live there  :p:
