I thought about going into media or film production at first but I realsied whilst I love doing that I'm not comfortable with the unstable work environment. My a-levels are business and media but I'm taking a btec in health and social care. My family keeps wanting me to do medicine but I've made it clear that I'm not going into that.

I've been looking at courses for accountancy, law and business but I'm just a huge mess in general right now. Any advice?

Question, what do you mean about an 'unstable work environment?' Are you suggesting that when a project is finished, you may become redundant?

Honestly, the best advice is to go to a university open day and make sure to speak to the tutors there. With a mix of qualifications, they can also suggest to you some different courses. They'll give you guideance whether or not you'll enjoy what is taught there.

Ok thank for the advice. What I mean about unstable work environment is that it's a competitive industry and there isn't any guarantee that you'll get a job straight after university

That's quite commonplace with degree disciplines like Business and Law as well. I think with most degrees apart from highly-specialised professions, the competitive job environment is very much cut-throat. A lot of people are in the same boat.

That's true I guess I just don't like media as much anymore as a career but I honestly am unsure on what to do now, right now I'm just trying to do revision to make sure I get the best grades when I go back to school.

I would talk to people about this. Maybe you have a support system at school, a favourite teacher, etc... They may be able to help you gauge your interests as to what career path you want to define for yourself. I myself still don't know what part of Business I want to go into and I've just finished my first year of University! I'd also recommend getting work experience in places of interest as this can help you make decisions. There are also quizzes online that can recommend careers for you.
