It is possible that we may enter a technical recession however not one which is severe as things stand.

Much like the Eurozone and US PMI data suggests that manufacturing and construction data is at or below recession levels (that is a somewhat cyclical global issue compounded by the trade war) however service sector data while weak, remains positive. With services making up around 80% of the economy, that may keep us above the water line.

So the answer is yes but unfortunately for remainers Q2/Q3 is as much down to external factors as Brexit.

Q4 data of course could do anything depending on deal, extend or no deal.

More than likely, we're well overdue for one. The severity of it is up for debate though.
