Obama is a democrat... a free-market capitalist.

I think the real question is why are the lefties extolling yet another war-mongering (Iran) ,inexperienced capitalist.

Plato (just to clarify - the Ancient Greek, not the username) always said the masses were easily swayed by rhetoric.... nothing much has changed.

He's spending money to get things done? what a bad president:eek:
I don't know if you know anything about economics, but you need to spend money to stimulate your economy. That's why good presidents save money in the boom time and not rake up $10 trillion of debt. A good president would have saved money in the boom time so that it'd be easier to get out the times of bust.

$400billion is nothing.

A good president knows when there's no money left to spend.

Exactly which is why a good president doesn't turn a surplus into a $10 trillion debt.

I never referred to Bush...

Just because he screwed up doesn't mean Obama can pretend there are trillians of dollars spare.

if 90% of mccains policies are the same then the debt is going to increase by 9trillion$

sometimes you have to choose the lesser of two evils.

in this case obamas policies actually work and 90% of economsist professors and consultants who voteed on the economists poll said that obamas policies were better for america

Oh for goodness sake.
I thought we wrapped this society up at the end of the last page!
Can't haters see that this battle is over!
We really should postpone this society until January when the president elect is sworn in!
It is then Barack Obama will implement his policies and we as the public can scrutinise them.

You mean he's not going to reverse any of Bush's legislation?

Carrying on from where Bush left off eh?

Not so much change as continuity then.

Okay this is uneccesarily putting words in my mouth.
I have not in any single way said that or implied that.
I am saying, Barack Obama will implement his own policies on January 20th
I never mentioned continuity - the only contiunity would be that the USA have a president.
Finish

90% of McCain's policies aren't the same. The 90% of times he voted with Bush were mostly procedural votes they meant nothing far more significant are the important votes when he votes against where Obama voted with:
Bush and Obama - support for steel tariffs
McCain: opposed

Bush and Obama: support for subsidies to oil companies
McCain: opposed

Bush and Obama: support for ethanol subsidies
McCain: opposed

Bush and Obama: against campaign finance reform
McCain: helped create campaign finance reform

Bush and Obama: can't find a spending bill they don't like
McCain: against most spending increases

You're right, we don't want more Bush, that's why McCain should have won. Not to mention Obama didn't bother voting 40% of the times he could have.

Most economists would vote with him because most are happy left wingers who have nice tenured positions at universities and most won't be affected by his policies. What do they care if others are going to be paying through the nose for it.

So you don't think he will reverse any Bush legislation? If not then I would call that continuity rather than change.

I do think there will be change of sorts though i.e. an acceleration of the Bush/Cheney era agenda.

What the hell is your problem, are you ignorant to my words?

I never said obama will or will not change anything.
All I have said is the Obama will implement his own policies come january 20

Remember that the democratic party is aginst the bush doctrine so do not put words in my mouth!
