I'm a History grad with a 2:1, hoping to go into primarily outreach work for underprivileged children or, if not, teaching. Would a masters in Social Justice and Education be worth it??

It is an area I am extremely interested in and would love to study, but I don't know if it is really just wasting money when I could go into applying for placements or jobs in the area, or doing my teaching qualifications.

Possibly a stronger route might be to get on with the professional qualifications, experience etc and do the degree a few years into a career. The reason for saying that is that, unless you can already demonstrate an intent to work in this area, History to working with under privelidged children looks like a change of direction. A specialist Masters often doesn't help a change when it's a vocational course, it leaves you with qualifications but no experience.

You probably need to engage with some suppliers of this sort of service and people working in the sector to find out what the best route would be. it's the balance of necessary qualifications, experience and specialist qualifications like the Masters you need to understand.
