I got the newsletter too, but I took it as a positive sign? I don't think they would put you back in the candidate pool ... I am currently in the process of negotiating my start date so at least I sincerely hope not lol. Anyone experiencing slow email responses though? Usually they reply quickly to me but lately it seems to take quite long ...

If you don't mind me asking (I'm just waiting for my start date to) how have they been with being flexible with starting? Just I'm a Teacher and need to work till the term ending etc

Yes, of course, no problem. I was offered May initially but after telling them that May would clash with my university exams they pushed me to August. They were very understanding and said it wasn't an issue and I assume they will be treating your situation similarly. Good luck! :smile:

Plenty of non-trainee roles going about for Intelligence and Investigators. I hope the Trainee roles are open again soon, perhaps when this coronavirus has calmed down a bit.

I applied for an entry level role in October, and I only sent off my vetting forms last week it’s such a slow process it seems like non of the trainees from the last campaign have started yet either !

I had a similar long and frustrating wait for Border Force around 2018 when they were with Capita. It was months before I even found out if I was going to interview which is like the first stage after your application and online tests. Math tests let me down; still felt it was a long time to get a rejection though - it is more understandable for successful applicants whose applications will need to be processed through the stages etc.

That’s great news. Which role did you interview for and what location?
Would be interesting to know how long it takes for you to start your pre employment checks

Applied for Investigations at Sunderland, but the assessment and interview covers both paths.

I got my successful email last night too, so happy! I'm down south. I'm preparing myself to wait at least a year for the initial position to be offered then the vetting on top given the current situation. Which actually works better for me in a way as I have a child who will starting school next year so that will save on childcare!
