Ah *******s :frown: sorry to hear that - hopefully 23/7 should still mean a (7)? Sept start is feasible, gives them a couple of weeks to sort admin before the month’s notice deadline.

Yeah hopefully all else will be in line, thanks. Not flapping yet!

Does anyone know or have asked about travel cost reimbursement for getting to and from assessment centres etc? I am going to have to pay £139 for my train ticket with a railcard and with no guarantee of passing I feel like its such a lot of money :frown:

Everyone pays for their own, I had to get to Reading and back from the North East, including overnight in a hotel.

Pretty sure they say in the advert they will not refund any travel. I had to changeu session as going into London peak time was over £200

Only thing I've ever applied for that pays for you travel to interview/selection was the army

Hi, I had a start date given this week but I’m on an experienced hire campaign as opposed to the IOTP campaign. I was told that I could basically pick the week, start on a Monday, providing it’s not a bank holiday so if it’s September I would assume 7th September.I’ve also been told I have to do the exams so I’ll probably be on the same courses as everyone else! I’ve passed them before, just waiting to find out if I need to pass them twice but hey ho.

Hi I am in the same position as you joining on a experienced hire campaign starting on Mon 3 Aug 20. Where are you going to be stationed?

Right, that’s psych done & I have warned work to expect a reference request. Now back to the waiting game... can anyone give me a rough indication of how long it takes them to get in touch again after psych & medical are ticked off?

I had mine 2 weeks ago and still not heard anything

I had mine last Thursday and start date and contract all on Wednesday this week

I was in the candidate pool a fair while though so pretty much everything else was done.

Just got my start date through - 3rd August for Intelligence at Sunderland!

Had my health check on Wed, offer through on Friday and got the contract this morning. Haven’t had a psych test, and the contract says the drugs tests are on hold for the foreseeable.

I’m also starting on the 03 Aug 20 in Slough. Am just waiting to find out what date they are doing the remote on boarding and what it consists of

Congrats to everyone who has got a start date recently! For those that have, when did you go into the candidate pool?

I went in at the beginning of April, had a conditional offer about 5-6 weeks later and my start date after another week. I seem to have moved a bit quicker than most though.

Wow that's very quick, well done!

Reply 1198

Mine was 4 hours too, but if the face to face interview part has already been done over the phone it might be less than that

Reply 1199

Congrats to those with start dates, I have been waiting for a long time for a start date in Sunderland, conditional offer in January, psych and medical back in April, screening completed.... just out of interest, have you guys applied as experienced hires or trainees?? Thanks
