They don't even know how the civil service reduction will impact numbers so I wouldn't hold your breath

I appreciate that, just feels like I got pretty close and know others who have had theirs extended by 6 months. Can only try, would be a shame to go through the whole application process again should something come up.

Can I ask what people's experience has been with completion of vetting checks ? I mean just the vetting forms, not the psych/ medical and drug tests.

Have you heard anything since this? I am going into my 13th month 🥲

I hit the 18 month mark and was removed from the candidate pool.

I recently received news that I'd failed the pre-employment checks and my provisional offer was therefore withdrawn.I already had UK security clearance prior to this and I had already passed the medical, drug's test and psychological assessment.Unfortunately they did not (and would not) specify what aspect of my character/ associates/ life I failed on so it's most frustrating.I honestly have little clue what it could be so can't correct it going forward. They stated I could re apply for future roles 12 months from now but that I would be assessed against the same criteria.. so obviously not knowing what it is, from my perspective, I'm only going to hit the same road block 12 months from now.A gutting experience. In regards to the vetting/ recruitment process. I have been through the recruitment for Immigration and Border Force at the same time as the NCA and the NCA were by far the best in terms of keeping you in the loop and general communication.

Hey, has anyone applied for the 2023 northern campaign?

Reply 1705

Re-applied and didn't even get past the first hurdle this time. Luckily in a job that's giving me financial crime qualifications, might look at NCA down the line but bit disappointing after the candidate pool situation last year then instant knockback now.

Awwww that’s a shame. I’ve applied and got to interview stage just waiting to hear back. Lots of applicants and only 5 jobs where I’ve chosen so not too hopeful but we will see. Just happy to have got to interview stage to be honest looking at these threads!

Good luck! Hoping you manage to grab one of the five, my interview was end of 2020, found out no job in 2022 after candidate pool for like 14/15 months, Some doors close and others open, remember to keep yourself open to other offers 😁

Thanks 😊 Wow that’s a crazy amount of time, covid really knocked their recruitment by the looks! I’m glad you’ve found something that will lead to options further down the line. Good luck with your journey!

has anyone heard back from the ODP campaign within the NCCU? I had my interview five weeks ago but haven't heard any news yet

I had an interview in September and I’m still waiting to hear the results 😕

I work in the agency and know it’s currently taking 6-12 weeks for interview results to be updated by GRS (the civil service online portal). Unfortunately the agency sends the decisions to them and is then at the mercy of the civil service portal!

I recieved news today. I am in the reserve list.
As there was only 20 posts where I was and lots of people applied, it will take a while for a vacancy to
along.

hi, after I did my interview for the ODP I received a provisional offer (pre-employment checks must be done) and Ive later been booked in for the pathway selection AC. does this mean I can still not get the job if I don't do well enough at the AC? I am so so confused about the whole recruitment process :frown:

Hi congratulations on the offer! I have my interview for the ODP next week and was wondering if you had any advice? How was the interview overall?

Reply 1715

Hi there, I had my interview as part of the NCA Trainee Officer Development Programme on May 15th 2024 and have not heard back. I was advised 6-8 weeks but have people heard back sooner?

I got the offer too! However, they promised me a vetting form. And twelve weeks in, still no vetting form. Has anyone had the same problem?

I'm still waiting on my assessment centre as I couldn't make the one earlier on in the year.

Hi there, bumping an old thread but does anyone have their assessment centre coming up for the NCA ODP?

I assume that's the pre employment pathway selection? I did my one in July. I'm still waiting for PEC following the assessment, which they promised.
