It's good to do revision where you practice not only learning and applying knowledge (like case studies, flashcards, posters, etc) but also exam technique

Eg timed essays, how you approach answering questions, knowing the differences between explain, analyse, discuss, evaluate etc, how to plan essays well.

So even if, for example you understand the whole syllabus, if you can't answer questions under timed conditions or don't know how to approach the exam, then achieving a good mark would be rather difficult.

Helpful ways of revising for me for GCSEs, A levels and at uni:
- teaching other people what I've learnt eg to family or friends or class mayes
- learning any key terms or facts/stats with flashcards or quizlet (which is especially helpful for languages)
- practice essay question writing freely and under timed conditions - and then getting feedback from teachers and re doing the question or use feedback to do another essay

Hope this helps! ☺️
