Hello, I'm a student in Scotland and thinking about applying to England. This year I am thinking about taking advanced higher Spanish, advanced higher maths and advanced higher geography.

I was also thinking about taking an additional higher, to show my interest in the subject of economics. As philosophy is regarded closely linked with economics, my question is would the university still value a higher philosophy qualification? Or should I just take higher economics. Another option is to do the course but not the exam. This way I could prioritize my advanced highers. I am not sure what to do.

Thank you for your time.

If I were you, I might just do 3 AHs and focus on getting the best grades possible. Or, 3 AHs + audit Higher Econ (and don't take the exam). Or, 2 AHs (Maths + 1 more) and 2 Highers (Economics and rmps). I wouldn't recommend doing Philosophy as it has a rather low pass rate. I also think rmps is much more interesting and easier to get a really good grade in.
