Lets talk about it. I love friends. I love being around friends. I love the platonic bond I form with others. I love that friends aren't trying to get into your pants but just want to be their for you.
They are more loyal than partners.
They have fewer vested interests.
They are emotionally available without getting scared of commitment.

But after a-levels magically they all seem to disappear. I miss them. Thought I would ask for honest answers to my very simple and irrelevant question: how many close friends do you have in real life?

I have 2.

2 friends that I would do anything for. Number was higher at the start of year 12, 1 turned out to be toxic and other friendships were always very much on the surface kind of thing. Out of sight out of mind sort.

3 friends which I would truly do anything for because the bond we’ve formed is like family. It’s not a lot to some people, but I’m happy

Oh My God, how?? You always post really positive lifestyle choices and seem to be in a positive mindset so I am guessing not having friends isn't going too badly for you.
I on the other hand need so much attention and affection it is quite frankly unbelievable!

None except my family.
You never feel the need to have a close friend?

None really. I have people I'm on a hi/bye sort of relationship level with, which is how I prefer things. I have virtually no tolerance for the usual chit chat and gossiping that wastes my time.

Cos the people I used to be ''friends'' with were fake af and were all about getting high, drunk, f*cking as many girls as they could and partying all the time. I'm not about that life man, I'm about self improvement and making the most of my life, not wasting it. So I parted ways with them. Best decision I ever made
