Gap year confusion

With the A Level results day fast approaching, I was kinda just feeling that, even if I did get the grades I want, I don’t really feel like I’m 100% ready for uni yet tbh.

So I was wondering if I do take a gap year off education, do I need to resit the A Level was exams again in order to reapply next year? Because if that’s the case, I don’t really think I have the energy for that.
No not at all! You can defer your ucas choices if that’s something you want which means that if you get the grades, your place will be saved for you once your gap year finishes. But if you want to study a course which requires higher grades than those you achieved, then you would have to either ask the uni itself or resit.

Thank you very much for your response! But just to clarify, I understand I can resit and defer my offer, but I just wanted to know if I could theoretically just reuse my current grades if they were high enough, but I didn’t want to choose a uni just yet.
