I have just been making notes but every time I am doing it I find I am just writing what it says on the revision guide so should I just read the revision guide or carry on making notes

If you make notes don't copy out the text book verbatim. Write keywords in a different colour and try to condense every paragraph into a few short bullet point sentences. And most importantly - quiz yourself after taking notes

I try not to but it’s coming out exactly the same as the revision guide
