Hi

Will the fact I'm in over £1,000 overdraft debt in my student account cause me to be rejected from my grad role??

I've seen some people on twitter say it is likely to.

Has anyone been experienced this?

They won't do credit checks for a job. Maybe DBS checks but that's criminal background not money. They won't know your financial position. As long as you've got enough money to get to job interviews and to work it will be fine. Hopefully a job will help you get out of the minus

You’ll be fine. I’ve been an officer in the RAF and now a civil servant with thousands of pounds of debt and many many credit cards! As long as the debt is manageable relative to your incomings/outgoings.
