(Sorry for another thread - I originally posted this question in the A Level forum, but I think here would be a better place to ask.)

Combination 1
Year 1: AS Maths, AS Further Maths, AS Physics, AS Chemistry
Year 2: A Level Maths, A Level Further Maths, A Level Physics, A Level Chemistry

Combination 2
Year 1: A Level Maths, AS Physics, AS Chemistry
Year 2: A Level Further Maths, A Level Physics, A Level Chemistry

Which combination of AS/A Levels would be better? I am applying to the National Extension College to do my A Levels (I'm 22) but I'm unsure of which approach to take (I want to study physics at university).

Personally I'd do combination 2 since going through all of a level maths makes the jump to further maths much easier

I don't know about your exam board but at least for CIE, maths is a necessary prerequisite for further maths. So even if my exams were like combination 1, my schedule ended up like combination 2.
