Hi, I got my results for btec level 3 applied science and in the paper it says that I got DS. Does DS stand for distinction star?

Hi.
I thought this too, and was confused because I thought I got a Distinction. I looked though and it is a Distinction. They probably do it DS so it's not confused with an A-Level D (I would have freaked if I'd seen that, and I imagine many others who also do a-levels would have done too).
Still a great grade though, well done!

Thank you for your answer
So it is just a distinction right? I'm happy about it

It's definitely a Distinction. I imagine it's written as DS to avoid confusion with a-level grade D, as they mean very different things.
