Career in Acting / Film-TV-Screen industries

Currently doing my BA in Drama and Film Studies; I want to become a screen actor in the future but instead of going to drama school, I have been thinking about doing a Master's in Film and Television Studies / Production. Does anyone have any advice and / or tips on working in the screen industries and making a career in acting through this non-traditional avenue?
I don't see how that degree could help your chosen career path.

well, for periods of time that i am not acting or looking for acting jobs, i could still be immersed in the film industry and still keep learning, as this is the industry that i would like to break into. i feel that by doing so, i can have a greater appreciation for screen acting as well as making connections with professionals and creatives within the film industry.

Ok, I get that. But shouldn't you be focusing on your acting skills?

yes, of course. practicing and honing my acting skills is something I wish dedicate a lot of time to, and I want to make sure that I take advantage of any and all opportunities to gain as much experience with my acting as well. the reason why I do not want to go to drama school is because I do not want to be surrounded by just actors. I feel that my creative process fares far better when I am surrounded by creatives who specialise in different areas, and I feel that a masters in film and television would give me the chance to make connections and learn about the industry as well as put the hours in with practicing my acting craft and making a name for myself in that regard. so it's like a balance of bpoth directly and indirectly investing in my acting career in a non-traditional route.
