I'm wondering which texts can be studied for HL English Lit and in how much detail.

I'm not doing the IB, so this is just to have an overview of how different systems compare.

Interesting! So how many texts overall, and spanning which time periods?

Depends if you are HL or SL. Therefore anywhere between 9-13 texts, split into 4 parts. I am unsure what the new lit course looks like as it changed this year.

From academic year 2019-2020 onwards, there is a new English Lit curriculum, with a largely different list of texts. That being said, there will be a range of different texts, among which the texts you study will most likely be chosen by your school/teacher.
