July!! Is that just in Belfast or across the UK? That’s really interesting. I suppose all they can do is hope that things will have improved by July.

Think it’s across UK. Not too sure...
But then again, I suppose they need extra customer service advisors for what’s happening at the moment
Anybody here waiting for HO Edinburgh list. Seems there has bn no movement.

Just seems like there's been no movement anywhere and wondering if there can be in the current circumstances..
I’ve been following other forums for jobs at HMRC and tax specialist programme have been starting to get offers yesterday and some already started working for customer service department in may but have to work from home and training is all based online. So in theory I think they are still recruiting. Just hope it’s soon as I’ve been made redundant from 31st of July due to covid19 🙁

I’ve seen that HMRC are recruiting for O Campaign & project caseworkers in Newcastle.

I’ve also read somewhere that the current circumstances has pushed moving dates for the new regional centres, some to next year now. I don’t know if this would have an impact in some locations.

I also saw the advert. Finger 🤞 . A friend requested for Foi Glasgow. He was told there has been no movement. Everybody still on the Merit list.

Is there a thread for the recruitment campaign which ran this Spring? I'm on the reserve list for Cardiff as of yesterday. Anyone else?

Hi, I hope you don’t mind me joining in. I’ve recently applied for compliance caseworker EO position in Newcastle, closing date was last Monday 8th June, I scored 97% on numerical, 69% verbal and 98% on sjt, not sure those scores are good enough to get me an interview but hoping they are! Eagerly awaiting an update. Can’t believe how long this process seems to take though!

The scores you got are good enough for the interview invite! Unless other people have all scored better which is very unlikely.

I think I got %69 numerical and %69 judgement last year

Thanks for that glimmer of hope, I thought my verbal score may have ruined my chances, I really want this job, the waiting is driving me mad! Any idea how long it usually takes to hear about interviews? Have you been offered a position now?
From what I remember, I applied in July 2019, invited for the interview in August a week later. I was successful at the interview and was placed on the reserve list... haven’t had an offer yet.

My best advice is to get used to with the waiting 😂😂

The numerical and verbal only get you to the next stage I believe, and then the SJT is what gets you the interview. I've read a few versions but that seems to be the consensus! I scored 99% numerical but 69% SJT and I still had an interview so you will 100% get one and I would be shooketh if you didn't. Then it comes down to the scores as I think SJT / other scores are then only used to determine your place on the list if you're tied with someone else after your interview score. I waited about a month after the closing date to be invited to interview, just FYI. I sorta wish I had applied for Newcastle now as I am only just learning how it works and I only did Cardiff which is my local office. I thought when I applied that it was all offices, but now that Newcastle and Edinburgh have been advertised separately maybe I'm wrong and it was only Cardiff recruiting back in April... IDK! Good luck and let us know if (when) you get the interview :-)

That’s all really useful info, thank you, I guess I’ll just have to get used to waiting (admittedly not my strong point 😂) and I will update when I hear anything. Maybe they do national campaigns sometimes but also localised ones too in an area where there is a particular need. It’s great that you’ve made it onto the reserve list, congratulations, hopefully it won’t be too long until you get an offer!

Hi, Hope everyone is well and safe!
For all those who were on the reserve list for HO/EO in Manchester, have they heard back at all?

I am on the reserve list for Manchester and received a provisional offer last week (after 9 months of waiting!) but even then it mentioned only a few people will be employed straight away. I sent off my check earlier this week. Has anybody else also had any update?
Congratulations! Haha! I am still on reserve list for Manchester. Last month I was 26th on that list! What position were you in if u don’t mind me asking?

Thank you! ☺️ I was on number 12 in the list. It must mean though that there is finally some movement happening, I’m sure you will hear back soonToo.
