It would be good to bring together any stories of re-marks for current and future A level students.

If you have requested a re-mark, please share the following details:

Subject
Board
Grade and mark achieved
Predicted grade
How many marks do you need to go up a grade?
Does it affect a university offer?
Outcome of "review of marking"

Subject: Physics
Board: WJEC
Grade and mark achieved: A, >89%, <90% UMS
Predicted grade: A*
Marks required: 1-2 depending on the paper
University offer: No, as my offer was unconditional. However it does affect the scholarship I'd receive from the university.
Outcome: One paper remained the same, the other went up by 4 marks, placing me firmly in A* territory.

I had several remarks done during 2015 an 2016

Edexcel Economics (AS): up by 8 UMS to give A
Edexcel History (AS): up by 10 UMS to give A
Edexcel English Lit (AS): up by 14 UMS to give A

Edexcel English Lit (A2): Up by 30 UMS to give strong A*

However, I have heard that they have changed the remarking system in a way which makes it a lot more difficult to get a favorable outcome...
