University help!!!!!!

So I just got my alevel results and got confirmed a place at my firm choice. But I’m confused because I asked someone and they said that university can still take you off the course or reconsider after accepting. Is this possible. I heard that this happens during welcome week where some teachers will say “this course might not be right for you” by looking at your grades. Do this actually happens because I’m actually scared now.
I also heard that this occurs during registration onto the course on the first day of uni

This would only happen if you had lied about your gcse results or other information in your ucas application
