I need help with the confirmation of my sixth form

Hello. I am a year 11 student who just finished her Gcse and I’m waiting for the results in a couple of days. After much though I decided that I would like to change my school, so I can start fresh in September in a new sixth form. I only have one question: after I open my results on Thursday , how do I actually confirm my place? Who do I call? A friend told me you are meant to call the head of sixth form or something, but I imagine lots of people would be calling too, so... assuming I had the right grades , how do I confirm my place? What do I need to tell them?(other than my results)
I knew I might sound a little dumb, but I just want to check I know what I’m doing on the day.

I applied to it and it sent me an email saying I have to go to them after I get my results IF I get the results to get it

If u go there or just call it’s still gonna be loooong queues
